Dear wellPORTAL Patient,

As you are likely aware, there is a state of emergency over coronavirus, also known as COVID-19. At wellPORTAL we are monitoring the situation very closely. The health and safety of our entire community - patients, staff and physicians alike - remain our top priorities.

The most common symptoms of COVID-19 are fever with cough and shortness of breath. If you develop fever and cold symptoms like cough or shortness of breath, please call the wellPORTAL VIP Hotline at 702-533-4353 so we can arrange for a wellPORTAL primary care physician (PCP) to assess your health condition and prepare for further evaluation as needed.

wellPORTAL primary care practices, consistent with CDC recommendations, are doing everything in their control to limit community exposure to COVID-19 while at the same time taking care of patients who need regular medical care.

• If you are healthy and scheduled to come in for an establishment of care visit or annual wellness visit, you may be asked to reschedule that appointment out further into the future.

• Some wellPORTAL primary care physicians are also offering patient visits over the phone (known as “telehealth”). Telehealth visits may be used to assess patients experiencing symptoms of acute illness to plan for further evaluation as needed. Telehealth visits may also be offered for their patients with chronic conditions and medication needs to assure that rapid safe care is available without the need to visit an office with sick patients.

All primary care practice locations in the wellPORTAL primary care network remain open and treating patients, except for P3 Medical Group – Business Park. That location is temporarily closed. However, patients who normally access care at that location can access care at another P3 Medical Group location or any other wellPORTAL primary care practice location. We will offer updates periodically as situations change during this COVID-19 emergency.

If you have questions or need assistance accessing primary care services, please call the wellPORTAL VIP Hotline at 702-533-4353. Our hours of operation are Monday – Friday 8 am – 5 pm. We are standing by to assist you.

Sincerely,

wellPORTAL Primary Care Network –
NV Energy Healthy Living Program
