Book Signing Requirements:

Current Local 396 Members:

1. Termination slip from most recent job
2. Up-to-Date IBEW Dues Receipt

Travelers:

1. Up-to-Date IBEW Dues Receipt
2. Letter of Introduction from home local dated within 1 year of signing, must be updated yearly
3. Term slip from most recent job
4. OSHA 10
5. Current CPR and First Aid

BOOK 1 STATUS REQUIREMENTS (OUTSIDE LINE)

HOURS

(Lineman) 2,080 hours in the last 3.5 years and passed a Journeyman Lineman examination given by a duly constituted Outside Construction Local of the IBEW, (Equipment Operator, Fabricator, Groundman) 2,080 hours in the last 4 years working in the geographical area covered by the collective bargaining agreement.

RESIDENCY REQUIREMENTS

To qualify for book1 status ALL applicants must possess a Nevada driver's license with a Nevada address.

       OR

An applicant will be required to present at least Two (2) of the following to assist in supporting a claim of meeting the residency requirements:

• State or Federal tax returns
• Real estate ownership
• Voter registration location
• Current rental agreement for at least (1) year
• Motor vehicle licenses (registration)
• W-2 form information

NON-IBEW New Applicants

Recommended items to bring:

Outside Line:

1. Required Certs
   • i. First Aid / CPR
   • ii. OSHA 10
2. Proof of any hours worked in the industry on a company letterhead stating specific tasks for specific number of hours.
